Snow Zone

I have 23 pictures that I want to share which sounds like a lot. I will divide them up into categories.

Human Category

Cross-country skiing and having an ice fight with ski poles.

                                                                     Bird Category
I'm playing the harp while Chloe stares at Pippi on my arm, transfixed.

Rose acquired a parakeet for Christmas. It is named Autumn and it is on the left in the picture below.

Landscape Category

The snow glittered and sparkled marvelously. My face stung with the cold. The 7 ft. drifts loomed up where a fire had ravaged the area. We had headed out to go ice skating but the snow acted like an insulator, covering the slushy water.

Dogs (All of Comet except two of Gypsy)

It's Been a While

This blog has been neglected too long. It is time to start tapping in words that will create a "picture". By the way, my name is Avonlea and I am the oldest of Mom and Dad's four children. I am fourteen and have a passion for animals and music. I also love taking pictures and I will hopefully overwhelm you with pictures of cats, snow, birds, and more! Enjoy.........

Kittens Growing Up by Avonlea

The kittens we hold in our hands are sooooooooooo cute. The one in front with the white face is Marius, the gray is Cosette. The one far back but that you can see her face is Aspen, and the one you can't see hardly at all we've nicknamed,"Mean One."
Cosette and Marius looking like their mother.

Aspen, my favorite, on my shoulder. They are so cute!

A poem -

The kittens we hold in our hands are very, very, cute.

We make them laugh and smile, and giggle too.

They meow and eat and grow up big, that's the truth.

Also, you like to cuddle and hold the wee kittens that grow up old.

Cats by Avonlea

This is me with our persian cats. We have 5 of them, and we are breeding the two in the picture...we have been for 8 months. These are the names of the cats: Jane and Guinevere (the girls in the picture) then Lancelot, Lewis, and Ivanhoe. Ivanhoe got thrown outside (Mom couldn't stand the whining(meowing) so out he went!) Then Lewis is in a cage because too many males makes 3 smelly guys! That's my entry on cats!
